9th Annual Christmas Tree Giveaway!

On Sunday, December 15, the Guardsmen of San Francisco bring their annual Christmas Tree Giveaway to Hunters Point.

From 1pm-4pm, local families can come to the PG&E site where Guardsmen staff will help to pick and load a tree to make holidays merry and smiles bright! No registration needed, first come first served.

This year’s Tree Giveaway is a collaboration between USF's Leo T. McCarthy Center, The Guardsmen, A. Philip Randolph Institute of San Francisco (APRI), Project Level, the San Francisco Housing Authority (SFHA), the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, the San Francisco Police Department, the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, the California Highway Patrol, the Office of Economic and Workforce Development’s CityBuild Academy, the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development (MOHCD), and HOPE SF.

Swinerton will donate additional materials for the tree stands which crews from the CityBuild Academy will be assembling. CityBuild Academy aims to meet the demands of the construction industry by providing comprehensive pre-apprenticeship and construction administration training to San Francisco residents.
