On Saturday, August 10, BMAGIC hosted their 21st Annual Backpack Giveaway. Hundreds of San Francisco residents came to the PG&E site to enjoy a day of celebration and relaxtion.

The Magic Team distributed backpacks, school supplies, and other resources to 558 San Francisco Households with 1,674 residents. Over 140 volunteers put in the work behind the scenes to make the event a success.

There was more to the event than just a giveaway. 46 Community Benefit Organizations, nonprofits, and City Departments showed up at the event to provide their services and resources.

SF Bicycle Coalition supplied bikes and learn-to-ride classes; Waffle Roost, Curve Ball & Geez Freeze fed attendees; and the San Francisco Public Library brought their bookmobile and free books for all the young readers!
