BMAGIC returns to the Hunters Point Blacktop for their annual Backpack Giveaway and Resource Fair! It will be a fun-filled day for the whole family, with free food, facepainting, and kids’ activities. Multiple agencies and nonprofits will be on hand to help connect families with resources.

From 11am to 2pm on Saturday, August 9th, area families with children in grades K-12 can receive a free backpack stuffed with supplies for the coming school year (child must be present).

In addition, the San Francisco Bicycle Coaltion is sponsoring a bike raffle! The raffle is open to children in grades K-12 who live in Bayview Hunters Point. Each winner will be given a bicycle, helmet, lock and lights, and must attend a short, same-day Learn-to-Ride course.
