Jacob Zigelman, PG&E Regional Vice President for the Bay Area, posted a story to his LinkedIn page celebrating PG&E’s participation in BMAGIC’s 22nd Annual Backpack Giveaway in early August.

The story features a video of Zigelman speaking at the event, a montage of images from the day, and highlights of PG&E’s participation.

The Backpack Giveaway, organized by BMAGIC, was held on PG&E’s HuntersPointSF site on August 10, 2025. 750 backpacks stuffed with school supplies were distributed, a bike raffle gave away 70 bicycles, and 1,000 San Francisco residents enjoyed the activitiy and resource fair featuring 36 community organizations and agencies.

PG&E showed up strong to the event, with 13 volunteers distributing swag and informational resources, offering rides on a bucket truck , and having fun with PG&E’s mascot, Helmet!

We expect BMAGIC to return for their 23rd Annual Backpack Giveaway in August, 2026.
